Ehecatagat

Ehecatagat is the exact opposite to that of Ehecacihuauh. This supernatural is one of the two mayordomes who rule the northern realm of the underworld. She is the death wind lord and is master over all the evil wind spirits. It is her minions that bring sickness and death to those in the living world. However, I would not go so far as to say she is evil per-say, for she does play in the cycle of life. Ehecatagat seems more like the grim reaper as believed in Western Civilizations. Still, much like the grim reaper, I decided to display her as something rather ominous. I must admit, the coloring on this piece was actually a complete accident that I decided to along with. the black and white coloring was never meant to be. My first envisioning was to have her in all black, though a soft, see-through black, because she's a ghostlike character. However, as I was coloring her in Photoshop the black and white effect happened and I fell in love. Personally I feel it gives her more individuality then just having her look like a reaper. Oh, and before I finish I wanted to say that even though I displayed her as a female spirit, that was never truly specified in the text by Knab. As always, drawn by hand and colored/edited in Photoshop.
